Starting an exercise program is a touch job, especially if you fall in the couch potato category. I know because I have been there. You can come up with 101 reasons, why not to workout. Basically, us humans like to take the easy way out and HOPE for the best. Well, that may work in some situations, but certainly not in this one. You will never be able to achieve your fitness goal if you do not put in the required time and effort. Here are some problems that most of us face.
Not able to make time for workouts: A vast majority of people don't have fitness as their number one priority on their priority list. If you are a student or you have a full time job, then chances are, you will find it hard to take time out to either go to the gym or workout at home. You will not take out time unless or until getting fit is important to you.

Motivation: Getting yourself motivated to workout is very tough. Putting yourself through agonizing pain when you could be watching TV, having potato wedges and gulping a can of soda does not sound that great. You need to be REALLY motivated to tell yourself 'Alright, get up off your lazy butt and start working out.' The question is, what will motivate you to get fit? You might want to consider some highly motivating music like ‘Eye of the tiger’.
Too difficult: If you manage to take out time and even motivate yourself, most people face the problem of doing stuff that is just too difficult for them. This make you just give up and not even trying anymore. Taking on too much, too soon in any aspect of life will make you give up rather quickly.
Unrealistic Goals: Finally the biggest one. People set VERY unrealistic goals. I have honestly seen a person whose aim was to gain 30 kilos of muscle in 1 month on a kilo a day basis. Now this just isn't possible. But people tend to make this mistake the most.
